ADMINISTRATIVE
Audio/Video Technician: Responsible for assembling, operating and maintaining audio, visual and lighting equipment to amplify and enhance sound quality for performances and meetings held throughout Recreation Centers of Sun City, Inc.
Buildings & Infrastructure Coordinator: Responsible for overall coordination of various Buildings and Infrastructure (B&I) programs and repair & maintenance services including, but not limited to, security, work orders, databases, fire equipment and vendor management.
Communications Coordinator: Projects the public image of the organization through the written communication and dissemination of public information. Designs and edits the corporation newsletter. Researches, writes, edits and coordinates production of promotional materials and external newspaper articles. Originates and maintains relationships with the media and the public to effectively alert residents of the happenings in the corporation.
Executive Assistant/Assistant General Manager: Provides a variety of responsible and confidential administrative duties which may require a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures and precedents. Provides exceptional customer service, at a 5-Star level, to all RCSC internal and external customers.
Executive Coordinator – Board: Provides administrative and secretarial support to the General Manager and Board of Directors. Acts as a liaison to the membership and visitors relative to the function and activities of the Board. Performs varied duties requiring a strong knowledge of office operations and understanding of the organization, maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism with membership, guests and other RCSC employees. Directs, oversees and supervises the Corporate Receptionist.
Golf Administrative Coordinator: Provides administrative support to the Director of Golf and Grounds and interfaces with any subordinate staff of that individual. Maintains a close and responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the supervisors and staff. Works fairly independently receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance. Performs varied clerical and secretarial duties requiring knowledge of office routine and understanding of the organization, programs, procedures, and by-laws.
Human Resources Generalist: This position is under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for the administrative support of day to day Human Resources operations. Responsible for operational and technical personnel duties.
Information Technology Support Specialist: Provides a central point of contact for corporation systems automation while being responsible for analysis, developing and maintaining business systems databases. Provides value-added support, both internally and externally, as it relates to streamlining and enhancing current reporting and database tools. This will entail the initial planning and design of a new system or creating ways to use existing systems more efficiently.
Information Technology Application Support Specialist: Provide a point of contact for application support issues throughout the organization. Coordinate support and issue resolution tasks with associated software vendors and contracted support representatives. Complete maintenance on a regular basis to keep applications running effectively. Complete training sessions with end users to increase the computer and application skills of RCSC employees. Provide coverage for other department support areas as necessary.
Senior Buyer: Responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the Corporation’s need for materials, services, parts, repair, and equipment. These products and services are to be secured at cost quality and delivery competitive levels consistent with corporate policy and performance standards. The position is further responsible for the timely planning and scheduling of receipt of the products and services as assigned consistent with corporate requirements or as appropriately concluded with a requestor.
BOWLING
Bowling Mechanic: Performs the repair and maintenance of pinsetters and all related equipment. Ensures that equipment is maintained in compliance with established rules and regulations and is adequately equipped to perform their intended function.
Bowling Shop Worker: Performs a variety of duties required in the daily operation of the bowling control counter including first contact with members and guests
Lane Attendant: Maintains the cleanliness of assigned area to insure the safety and enjoyment of members and guests. Performs various duties to assist bowlers.
Pinchaser: Performs work in the cleaning and correction of minor malfunctions of bowling pinsetter operating mechanisms.
CENTERS
Facilities Attendant: Performs attendant duties for the area which assigned. May monitor one or more of the following; swimming pool, spa, exercise room, mini-golf, bowling, table tennis, racquet ball, bocce, handball, jogging, track, tennis, indoor shuffleboard, boats, fishing, and special activities.
Utility Worker: Assists the Corporation in meetings its standards by providing housekeeping and custodial service of assigned buildings its furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Lead Utility Worker: Oversees and works alongside utility workers and monitors engaged in the delivery of outstanding customer service and exceptional cleaning, repair & maintenance work including buildings, pools, spas, grounds, parking lots, tennis/pickle-ball/racquetball//handball, bocce and shuffleboard courts, mini golf courses and any other assigned facilities or game areas.
OFFICE/CLERICAL/SUPPORT
Accounting Clerk – A/P: Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial area. Reconciles bank accounts, posts information and balances general or subsidiary ledgers, proceses payments and compiles segments of monthly closings, annual reports, etc. Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems. Provides assistance to the Cardholder Services department.
Accounting Clerk – Payroll: Prepares bi-weekly payroll for approximately 340 employees, performs specialized clerical work involving the application of bookkeeping and accounting principles and accurately maintains a variety of payroll, employee benefit, accounting and computer records necessary to prepare and monitor the complete bi-weekly payroll function. Acts as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable backup and assists personnel with A/P, A/R and accounting projects.
Administrative Buyer, Purchasing: Provides secretarial and administrative support to the department. Serves as first contact for the department and answers department telephone. Performs varied secretarial and clerical duties requiring knowledge of office operations and an understanding of the department and departmental procedures.
A/R Collector/Auditor: Monitor A/R for delinquencies and perform all collection functions. Establish and maintain collection procedures and records to ensure accounts are collected in a timely and appropriate manner. Establish and maintain an audit system to verify and ensure the accuracy of RCSC Cardholder records. Works on special projects as needed by management.
Cardholder Services Agent: Assists existing and new cardholders with questions, payments, and information regarding the corporation. Work includes the skilled use of a computer and other standard office machines.
Clubs & Activities Agent: Provides office and clerical support to the Manager and Secretary and interacts with cardholders, clubs, and visitors regarding club activities, information, and special events.
Corporate Receptionist: Responsible for operating the corporate switchboard, greeting and directing members and the public and providing clerical support as needed.
Courier: Provides courier services to the Corporation using a motor vehicle to transport bank deposits, mail, materials, supplies, etc. to and from the various locations within the corporation and locations within the metro Phoenix area.
Senior Accounting Clerk: Accurately performs all accounting functions necessary to prepare, publish and distribute a complete set of financial statements. Performs work on all daily cash receipts, assuring accuracy for accounting department and for reporting results to originating departments. Reconciles results and enters data in computer or transfers data between computers. Provides backup assistance for the payroll clerk and assists personnel with payroll and accounting projects.
Warehouse Supply Clerk, Purchasing: Performs work in receiving and distributing materials and supplies, maintaining an inventory par, and related record keeping duties.
GOLF MAINTENANCE
Golf Foreman: The foreman works under the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to perform complex duties involved in golf course maintenance. Temporarily supervises co-workers during special projects and/or in the absence of the Golf Course Superintendent and the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Equipment Maintenance Mechanic: Performs work of considerable difficulty in repairing, maintaining, and rebuilding automotive, grounds, and golf course equipment.
Greensworker: Performs work in the skilled care and maintenance of golf course fairways and greens of an assigned Executive, Regulation, or Multi-Course golf course.
Grounds Worker: Performs a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, custodial and building and grounds maintenance.
Irrigation Technician: Maintains, repairs, and rebuilds all related components of an irrigation system.
GOLF PRO SHOP
Driving Range Attendant: Performs the day-to-day duties and functions as assigned by the Golf Pro Shop. Responsible for picking up golf balls on the driving range. Inspects related equipment and is responsible for daily operation of range picking equipment. Responsible for the inspection cleanliness and appearance of rental cart fleet. Checks batteries bi-weekly.
Golf Shop Worker: Assists in the daily operation of a Golf Pro Shop; may open and/or close pro shop, check in all players, assign tee times, sell merchandise using computerized cash register system. Prepares closing paperwork and performs other related duties necessary to the operation of the pro shop.
SKILLED TRADES
Aquatics Specialist/Plumber: Ensures that all RCSC pools and spas are maintained and chemically balanced to health department standards. Performs annual back flow valve testing as required by Arizona American Water Company. Completes pool, spa, restroom and kitchen plumbing installations & repairs as directed.
Building Maintenance Mechanic: Performs work of average difficulty in maintaining and repairing buildings and facilities.
Building/Electric Maintenance Mechanic: Performs work of average difficulty in maintaining and repairing buildings, facilities, drinking fountains and minor electrical repairs.
Carpenter: Performs skilled carpentry work for the Corporation’s departments and buildings.
Fitness Equipment Technician: Maintains, diagnosis, and repairs all RCSC fitness equipment to highest quality and safety standards. Delivers 5-Star Customer service to all cardholders, guests and other employees.
Painter: Under general supervision, performs skilled work in painting exterior and interior surfaces in buildings.
SNACK SHOPS
Snack Shop Attendant/Cook: Performs job duties required in the daily operation of a snack shop including cooking and preparing food, serving customers, operating the cash register, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, seating and surrounding areas.
ASSISTANT SUPERVISORY
Assistant Golf Course Superintendent: Performs work of considerable difficulty assisting in the maintenance, operation, and management activities of an assigned Executive, Regulation, or Multi-Course. Assists in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance activities of the course assigned. Answers questions and complaints from golfers and informs Superintendent of problems and potential problems.
SUPERVISORY
Area Supervisor: Responsible for overall operations and maintenance of all assigned centers and Sun Bowl/soft ball field locations and the cleaning/building maintenance of assigned pro shops and bowling facilities. Supervises the lead utility workers, utility workers and monitors in the delivery of outstanding customer service and exceptional cleaning, repair and maintenance of buildings, pools, spas, grounds, parking lots, tennis/pickle-ball/racquetball/handball, boccee/and shuffleboard courts, mini golf courses and any other facilities, grounds or game areas assigned.
Bowling Center Supervisor: Supervises the daily operations of assigned bowling facility. Oversees and follows-up with daily work requirements and changes as they occur. Schedules, supervises and trains assigned bowling lanes personnel. Works under the direct supervision of the Bowling Manager. In the absence of the Bowling Manager, reports to the Bowling Lanes Lead Mechanic. Supervises the work activities of the Bowling Shop Workers, Lane Attendants, and Utility Workers. In the absence of the Bowling Manager and the Bowling Lanes Lead Mechanic will monitor the Mechanics and Pinchasers.
Bowling Lead Mechanic: Supervises the mechanical operations of Lakeview and Bell Lanes bowling centers. Directs the mechanic and pinchasers including the scheduling of work shifts and delegation of workload. Implements preventative maintenance programs and sets uniform standards for mechanical operation.
Cardholder Services Supervisor: Supervises the operations of the Cardholder Services Department including; supervision of assigned personnel; collection of accounts receivable for member assessments; sale and issuance of cardholder cards, golf permits and golf cart permits; accumulation and preparation of statistical and accounting information.
Club & Activities Supervisor: Coordinates the functions of chartered clubs, oversees the scheduled use of space in RCSC facilities, contracts all entertainment, programs, and special events, and complies and edits communication concerning club events and activities.
Golf Course Superintendent: Supervises the maintenance, operation, and turf grass management activities of an assigned course. Performs administrative work in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance activities of the assigned course(s). Answers questions and complaints from golfers and assures courses are maintained in such a way to minimize distraction from the game. Responsible for ordering adequate supplies through the Director of Golf Operations within budgetary guidelines provided by the annual budget.
Golf Pro Shop Head Starter: Manages the operation of the golf pro shop and driving range at an assigned Golf Course. Hires, trains and supervises golf shop workers, driving range attendants, custodial workers and any other employees assigned to the golf pro shop.
