Bell Lanes Bowlers Accomplish Rare Feat
Gary Estep and Brenda Burns-Estep
On March 28, 2013 at Bell Lanes, Newlyweds Gary Estep and Brenda Burns-Estep both bowled a 300 Game, in the same game on the same team! Gary and Brenda were married on March 21, 2013 and had just returned from their honeymoon. In the first game on the Sun City Scratch Classic League at Bell Lanes, leadoff bowler, Brenda bowled a 300 game, to be matched by Gary bowling anchor. Gary finished with an outstanding 835 series (300-268-267), Brenda wasn’t far behind with a 720 series. Both Brenda and Gary have been bowling for 30 years. This is the first time either can recall bowling on a team where two teammates rolled 300′s in the same game. Brenda was the first woman to bowl a 300 game at Bell lanes in February of 2009 and now is the second. Her high series is 797 rolled in 2001. Gary has 40, 300 games to his credit and 20, 800 series with 867 as his high set.
This is only the 6th time in USBC history that a married couple bowled 300 games the same team game, and the second time for a couple here in AZ. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Practice On The USBC National Pattern!
Are you bowling in the USBC National Tournament in Reno?
Starting April 6, 2013 you can practice on the patterns at both RCSC Bowling Centers!
This year, the USBC will apply two different patterns for the tournament. There will be a Team Pattern and a Singles and Doubles Pattern.
- Lakeview Lanes will apply the Singles and Doubles pattern on Sundays from Noon – 6:00pm
- Bell Lanes will apply the Team Pattern on Saturdays from Noon – 4:00pm
Lane availability will be limited, first come first serve, no reservations.
25th Annual Sun City Open Bowling Tournament
The 25th Annual Sun City Open bowling tournament will be held at Bell Lanes and Lakeview Lanes on the weekends of April 27th and May 4th, 2013. New Bowling League Coordinator
Recently, the Bowling Department hired Di Tormanen as Bowling League Coordinator for the RCSC Bowling Centers. Di’s duties will include soliciting, organizing and coordinating all summer and winter leagues. Di will also coordinate promotional programs, tournaments and events in addition to developing plans for starting new leagues and strengthening existing leagues. Di will report directly to the Director of Bowling Operations and together they will be meeting with all league officers starting in February. Di retired after thirty-one years at Glenfair Lanes and is current President of the Metro Phoenix USBC. Di is well respected in the bowling industry and the RCSC Bowling Staff is looking forward to working with her.

RCSC Hosting Metro Phoenix USBC Senior Bowling Tournament
Lakeview Lanes and Bell Lanes will be hosting the Metro Phoenix USBC Senior Bowling Tournament. The tournament is open to all senior bowlers (50 and over). Lakeview Lanes will host the singles and doubles events and Bell Lanes will host the team event. Entry forms are available at the RCSC Bowling Centers.

New Years Eve Party At Lakeview Lanes
On December 31, 2012 Bowlers will ring in the new year at Lakeview Lanes. The event will begin at 8:00 pm with a pot luck and social hour. Cost is $40.00 per couple or $20.00 per person.
