Lakeview Art Club
Come have a great time with us! The Lakeview Art Club invites you to stop by our studio to view the artwork on display, visit with the artists at work and purchase paintings at low gallery rates. All interested artists are invited to come and join us.

|Special Events:||Throughout the year special “Play Days” are hosted by outside Artists or club members sharing/teaching their area of expertise. Watch for notices in the local paper or Lakeview Art Club Studio.|
|Meeting Times:||Membership meetings are the first Tuesday of each month, October through May, at noon. Meetings are held in the Lakeview Social Hall on the second level. We start our meetings with a potluck/social gathering, (guests are invited to eat lunch for $4 each) followed by a short business meeting, ending with a professional demonstration or other related activity. Annual club membership fees are $10.|
|Classes:||Art classes are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Professional artists provide leadership in the classes and hands-on experience in a variety of mediums, i.e. acrylic, oil, pencil, watercolor, pen & ink, etc. Classes usually run 4-6 weeks; cost per class is $10 per class session, payable at the beginning of each month. This may vary depending on the teacher and subject.

Meet the Artist
Richard Hoffman is once again being recognized for his artistic expertise. If you missed seeing his work last month you have a second chance! He is the May Artist of the Month for the Lakeview Art Club. Mr. Hoffman’s work will be displayed in the case outside the Lakeview Art Club located on the upper level of the Lakeview Recreation Center, 10626 W. Thunderbird Blvd. Mr. Hoffman moved to Arizona in 1994 after living most of his life in Southern California. He is self taught in oils, graphite, pastels and watercolor. His work has been displayed in many venues including the AZ State Capital Building, West Valley Art Museum as well as in private collections across America. Mr. Hoffman can be found in the Lakeview Art Club on Thursday mornings and Palo Verde Art Club on Tuesday mornings where continues to sharpen his skills as well as helping other members. All RCSC Cardholders with an interest in art are welcome to join the Lakeview Art Club.
