Meet the Artist
October Artist of the Month
Lupe Cavanaugh loves to paint living, active beings such as people, pets and wildlife. There is a soul there that fascinates her. She feels lucky to have access to the Phoenix Zoo and Liberty Wildlife, as well as the other local zoos to enable her to watch and study the animal’s behavior and habits. The birds of prey that cannot be released into the wild are trained to be teachers to the public. Those are great sources for her to photograph and use in art work. Her art will be featured in the glass display case outside the Artists by the Lake club room at the Lakeview Recreation Center throughout the month of October. Please stop by and see her inspiring works of art.
